With a BSc in Human Biosciences and a particular interest in health, I always knew I wanted to be a part of the way science is communicated accessibly. My year teaching at the Oxford Learning Lab paved the way for my passion for inclusive STEM.

The Oxford Learning Lab
From September 2021-2022, I was the STEM Outreach Education Intern for the Oxford Learning Lab (Vertex Pharmaceuticals). Here I played a key role in leading Vertex’s first in-person Summer Programme
by preparing and leading practical and classroom lessons and resources, organising enrichment days and acting as a pastoral mentor to disadvantaged students aged 4-18.
I also got to project manage the Inclusion, Diversity and Equality team across all three international sites.
BSc Human Biosciences
I have a BSc in Human Biosciences from the University of Plymouth , including a first class dissertation about the communication of science from the UK government during the COVID-19 pandemic
